Each member of the team brings their own experience, but we all work to the same high standards — calm, attentive care with close attention to the details that matter. Routines are consistent, and we’ll keep you updated so you always know how your cat is settling in. Every cat is cared for as an individual.

Kirsty
Cattery Owner
I’m the bubbly, enthusiastic face of the cattery, managing the day-to-day running. At home, I have five cats and an elderly Vizsla who keep life busy. I also have a soft spot for cars – which you may notice in the car park! Meeting owners and their feline pets is a real highlight, and over the years I’ve built some lovely relationships along the way. I look forward to seeing you at The Garden Mews soon.
Ian & Brenda
Bookkeeping, Maintenance and Cattery Carers
As Kirsty’s parents, we’re retired but still very much part of daily life here. We enjoy meeting the cats and their owners, and hearing all about their holidays. Ian looks after cattery maintenance and keeps the coffee flowing as chief barista. Brenda is often found out the back washing up – earning the title ‘sink fairy’ – or at her laptop keeping the accounts in order. She also helps with feeding, which keeps her steps up. You’ll often find us both out in the garden, keeping everything looking its best.

It’s often said I prefer cats to humans! With six of my own – from a kitten to my elderly lady Jemima (who’s having a cuddle in my photo) – I’ve fully earned the title of cat lady. I enjoy getting to know each cat and understanding their personality. You’ll usually find me here in the mornings, doing a job that suits me perfectly.

Caring for cats isn’t just a job for me – it’s a passion! I take great pride in building trusting relationships with both our feline guests and their owners. I love capturing special moments through photography, regularly sharing photos to keep owners connected while their cats are in our care. Having rescue cats of my own makes this role especially close to my heart. The cattery is truly my happy place, and I feel lucky to work alongside such wonderful colleagues and spend my days with our furry residents.
